In the shade of the Soete windmill
The three-storey-high Soete mill proudly towers over the festival tent. Its ribbon-adorned sails dance in the breeze. During the traditional harvest festival, Capelle, a charming hamlet in Comines, rediscovers the spirit of its mill and traditions.
Welcoming atmosphere
Traditional bread baking, pot breaking, flea market, public ball… there are many activities to enjoy. There is also the famous cucurbit contest… The heaviest pumpkin ever presented here weighed a mere 177 kg! Who has got more to offer?
Faluches, beer and tartines
The highlight of the day is undoubtedly the throwing of some 300 faluches (a kind of flat bread) from the top of the mill. Missed your chance? Do not worry: a refreshing Baptiste and an appetising country-style tartine will make you forget all about it.!
